Minelab GPZ 8000 overview
The GPZ 8000 is a gold-nugget detector built on GeoZVT, the next step in Minelab's ZVT line, with advanced signal processing for mineralised ground. It offers five ground modes from Normal to Extra Deep, automatic or manual ground balance, and Echo Sonic Pro stereo audio that can be switched back to traditional sound. Three Z-Set ring coils exist (Z18, Z17, Z13), and the listed depth is 4 feet.
It suits serious prospectors working hard ground, such as gold-bearing streams and dry washes in the northern areas. The control box, coil and WM 14 wireless module are rated to 1 metre for under 30 minutes, useful at creek crossings. The box holds the control box, Z18 coil, two lithium-ion batteries, Pro-Swing 125 harness, three hip-strut lengths, bungee cord, screen protector and manual. Made in Australia, 3-year warranty.
